There might be some times when you find it difficult to get the right type of toys for your kids. It is possible that you have absolutely no idea which toys are perfect for your kids. The basic fact that should be remembered about finding the most appropriate toys for your kids the baby educational toys should be related to the kid’s passion and his interest. You should be a part of your child’s development and the learning process and provide them with the ample of opportunities for the same. Thus, it is important to know how and till what extent kids perceive the surroundings around them using the following factors:

  • Visual range
  • Touch
  • Sound
  • Motion
Always remember that the toys should be child friendly and not breakable, free form small and broken particles and sharp edges and non toxic in nature. Be very cautious while getting the toys and check for any possible dangers. Normally, toys are packed in such a way that it is not easy to identify any potential safety hazards that might occur for the kid. In such cases it becomes very imperative that you purchase the baby sensory toys with great care and caution to avoid any unsuitable purchases.
  • Electric toys should be totally avoided
  • The toys should be given to the kids with the complete removal of all the plastic wrappings.
  • Avoid toys with choking hazards.
  • Marbles and balls that are smaller than 1.75inches are considered as toxic or hazard prone for kids and infants.
  • Strings, cords, necklaces and similar products might strangle the kids and infants. Make sure that the toys are less than 12 inch in length.
  • Don’t use projectile toys. They invite self injury.
  • Avoid buying it when you are not sure of its durability, type of materials, how to use or any other details for the toys.
Here are some examples of basic safe and appropriate educational toys for toddlers:
  • Squeak Toys: they are big enough to rule out accidents. Such toys gain the child’s complete attention and engagement.
  • Rattles: infants have a preference for high pitched sounds and make sure such toys have larger and longer ends.
  • Stuffed dolls and animals: toys that are washable and soft filled with cotton are fun and safest to play with. They play a key role in developing the kid’s imagination skills.
  • Mobiles: hanging toys with sound and movement are ideal for the newborns.Only make sure that the string of the toy is less than 12 inch in length.
  • Balls: rubber balls with textured surfaces excite the infants to a great extent.
